cozy/cuff winter sale
It’s winter, and nothing says winter like a cup of your favorite hot beverage…
and a cozy/cuff!
So I’m having a little sale to celebrate! (Not to celebrate winter – I HATE winter! But to celebrate staying warm.)
Buy any cozy/cuff SNAP in my shop, and receive an original cozy/cuff (that’s the one that just slides on) for FREE!
That means when you buy a cozy/cuff SNAP, I’ll send you a FREE original cozy/cuff (in a color of my choosing) right along with it!
Keep one for yourself and give one for a gift. Or keep one on your wrist and one on your coffee cup. It’s entirely up to you.
Head over to the shop now and grab your cozy/cuffs, because, just like winter, this sale won’t last forever!
SheMakes Holiday Market
On Saturday, I headed to New York City to participate in the SheMakes Holiday Market sponsored by The Daily Muse.
The space before set-up: (As usual, I was freakishly early!)

The view from behind my table:
my new favorite earrings
A month or so ago, I headed into my studio with a little challenge – make some giant leaves and turn them into some really giant earrings.
Little did I know that this challenge would produce what have become my new go to earrings. After wearing them (CONSTANTLY) for over a month, I’m happy to announce that the Vivienne and Gabrielle earrings are now online!
And what better way to introduce them than with some new portraits!
Above: Tara wearing the Vivienne earrings in steel and gold-filled. These are the biggest earrings I’ve ever made (well, for production anyway!) yet they don’t wear like giant earrings. In fact, they’re really comfortable.
Above and below: With no other model at hand, I guess I’ll just have to show off my new favorite earrings on myself! The Gabrielle earrings are my new go-to earrings and are available in steel, silver, and gold-filled. I’ve been wearing them with everything – they look stunning on their own but work just as well when paired with a statement necklace like the Maya.
And all the earrings are now available in my shop!
portraits: tara and lola
I just got a beautiful new portrait lens for my DSLR, so you can expect to see a lot more portraits on the blog. (Oh, and if you come across my path off-line, don’t be surprised if I ask to take your picture.)
As my best friend, Tara gets the brunt of my new portrait excitement.
Tara is wearing the Maya necklace (with a few extra links added) and the Kathrine earrings.
And, I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots of Tara’s daughter Lola on a walk this weekend. I mean, look at that face!
winter, then fall

Nothing better for a lazy, snowy, post-birthday Sunday then a big cozy sweater.

Small cosmos pendant.
Part of the style365 project – documenting what I’m wearing every day for a year.
And yes, I know this one looks a little like an awkward family photo. I’ll work on that.
snow cozy 10.29.11
When I decided to start a project* documenting what I was wearing every day for a year on my 30th birthday, I envisioned I’d be wearing something a little more fun.
But since the weather looked a little something like this…
… my plans changed slightly.
So this is my cute but cozy birthday outfit.
Cole Hann boots
Gap sweater
Handmade scarf that my friend Lily made me when I was in grade school
And my new favorite earrings (available soon)
*For the style365 project I’ll be documenting what I’m wearing every day for the next year.

this made me squeal…
I’ve been invited to speak at Hello Craft’s Summit of Awesome in Baltimore this October. When I pulled up the speaker page today, imagine my delight to see my bio directly below keynote speaker (and Project Runway winner) Jay McCarroll!
A big shout out to the alphabet (and my family name) for making that happen. Now when people ask me why I didn’t change my name when I got married, I’ll just direct them to this moment.
