I fully expected to fall in love with the gardens at Golden Rock Inn Nevis, but what I wasn’t expecting was for the pool to steal my heart. So when my garden photo shoot turned a little too steamy, I tossed on one of my statement necklaces (the Embiller necklace in silver, because you should never wear steel jewelry in the pool) and took the plunge!
I chose to stay at Golden Rock Inn for my spontaneous trip to Nevis in the West Indies last week because they boast incredible gardens. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. I envisioned myself wandering the gardens photographing my jewelry, especially pieces like the Danse necklace, and my vision came true.
I couldn’t resist sharing this little sneak peek of a necklace in progress on my work bench. The more I dive into the Essaint Collection the more I love exploring this feeling that I am drawing with wire. It feels like I’m taking all the drawing and painting I did over the summer and brining it back to my jewelry practice.
How gorgeous is this stone?!? It’s been sitting on my workbench for a while now and I am so thrilled that I got to turn it into a special, one of a kind ring for a fantastic customer!

Last weekend (ok, technically since it is Monday it was now two weekend’s ago, but who’s counting) I made another trip to visit my bro and his family and couldn’t resist making another stop at Rise Up Coffee. What can I say, I’m a sucker for that black and white branding? (Not to mention the excellent breakfast and those paper straws that hold up to iced latte drinking like none other.)
So of course, I had to commence with my standard silver on steel thumb rings photos! (You can recreate the look by grabbing your own set in my online store!)
The other weekend I was photographing new pendants for the Essaint collection on a white t-shirt (since I’m super into that now) and I realized it was TIME to add a statement necklace to the collection. So I headed into my studio (ok, to be fair, I was already in my studio, but I stopped the photo shoot and made my way to my work bench) and this was the result:
Can we please talk about these two pics of Stasia Savasuk rocking the Fleur Statement Earrings?!? I love how she styled them in two completely different ways with a denim jacket in one and an embroidered dress in the other! It clearly shows just how versatile the Fleur statement earrings are!
I love that these new necklaces (which are inspired by minimal floral tattoos) have me going just a little bit edgier in my every day style. (And by every day style, I mean the clothes I throw on in the studio to take pictures of my new jewelry designs!) Still, it’s fun to play dress-up and push your style comfort zone every now and again.
Plus with or without the leather jacket, I still love how the new Verdoyante necklace looks against a basic white t-shirt. And it’s available now in my online store. (Where you can also get it in bronze or silver.)
I just released a new batch of pendants in my Essaint collection, and I think the influence of minimal floral tattoos really shows through on this grouping! Maybe it’s that I made each one in my signature black steel, but whatever the reason, I really love how these new pendants turned out!
After photographing the Verdant earrings in black steel the other day with a white t-shirt and bold lip, I couldn’t resist adding one more layer to the outfit – a leather jacket!
