Sharing the pics with more dramatic lighting yesterday reminded me that I’ve still got images from my trip to Nashville last month to share! Like these, which are full of drama!

One of my favorite things about taking portraits with plants in natural light is the way the shifting sun filters through the leaves, with the potential to create some serious drama. Right after I took the first batch of photos at my pop-up at the Arlo this week, the sun came out and gave me these more dramatic images!

Earlier this week, I was in New York to do a wholesale pop-up at the Arlo Hotel in Midtown. Because I knew we were setting up on the gorgeous plant-filled terrace (scroll down to see the pics!), I couldn’t resist bringing my camera and tripod to take some portraits with plants!

I’m back with another group of images from my recent trip to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. I had originally planned to do two batches of photos (the black and white dress and the blue dress) but I really wanted to photograph these Chroma earrings in Deep Ocean and Neon Chartreuse, and when I remembered I had packed this navy kaftan, it was game on!

The last time I was in Nashville, I took a photo at this specific spot because the plants perfectly matched my jewelry. So of course I had to go back there again to take pics with these earrings from the Chroma Collection!

I hope you’re enjoying my “Megan in the garden” series because I’ve got a lot more to go! Today I’m going back to the black and white dress because I’ve got a lot more pictures to share. What can I say, it’s such a perfect dress that I just kept taking pictures!

I really love how the images in my last post turned out, but one downside is that you really don’t get a good sense of the earrings. Which is a shame, because they’re really great earrings! So here they are in all their glory!

I still have plenty of images of the black and white dress to share, but today I thought I’d switch gears and share a different look. I didn’t intend for this to be a full-on portrait series (remember when I wondered if there was such a thing as a selfie blogger?) but these pictures just showed off my Contra collection ring so well, I couldn’t resist sharing them all!

I mentioned in my last post that I’ve got some images in the garden that I’m really excited to share and here they are! (Ok, I’ve got a lot more than this! But I didn’t want to wait anymore to share these!) When I knew I was going to take pictures on my trip to Nashville, I knew I had to wear my favorite black and white dress! And I’m so glad I did! The patterns on the dress combined with these massive monstera leaves are just perfect! And of course, I couldn’t resist pairing it with some earrings from my Chroma collection!

Back in March, I went to Nashville to visit my cousin Trista and took a bunch of photos of her modeling my jewelry in the gorgeous gardens of the Opryland Hotel. (I took a few of myself as well!) Well, this past week I was back in Nashville for Trista’s wedding. Since Trista was a little busy, I decided to take myself to the gardens to get some pics of my new Chroma Collection earrings. (With a little assist from my husband, who acted as my human tripod!) That means I’ve got A LOT of pics to share over the next week or so!
