I’ve been sharing lots of pictures of the gorgeous grounds at Golden Rock Inn Nevis, but the truth is, my room was pretty great too! The owners of Golden Rock are artists themselves, and the rooms definitely have a modern bohemian vibe that clearly came from an artist’s eye.
I fully expected to fall in love with the gardens at Golden Rock Inn Nevis, but what I wasn’t expecting was for the pool to steal my heart. So when my garden photo shoot turned a little too steamy, I tossed on one of my statement necklaces (the Embiller necklace in silver, because you should never wear steel jewelry in the pool) and took the plunge!
I chose to stay at Golden Rock Inn for my spontaneous trip to Nevis in the West Indies last week because they boast incredible gardens. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. I envisioned myself wandering the gardens photographing my jewelry, especially pieces like the Danse necklace, and my vision came true.
A few weeks ago, I was invited on a spontaneous trip to the Caribbean, and since it just so happened to work perfectly in my schedule, I said yes. Which is how I found myself earlier this week standing on the veranda of my room at the Golden Rock Inn Nevis, remote shutter in hand, wearing this gorgeous dress with my Petale earrings and Fleurir necklace.
The other weekend I was photographing new pendants for the Essaint collection on a white t-shirt (since I’m super into that now) and I realized it was TIME to add a statement necklace to the collection. So I headed into my studio (ok, to be fair, I was already in my studio, but I stopped the photo shoot and made my way to my work bench) and this was the result:
I love that these new necklaces (which are inspired by minimal floral tattoos) have me going just a little bit edgier in my every day style. (And by every day style, I mean the clothes I throw on in the studio to take pictures of my new jewelry designs!) Still, it’s fun to play dress-up and push your style comfort zone every now and again.
Plus with or without the leather jacket, I still love how the new Verdoyante necklace looks against a basic white t-shirt. And it’s available now in my online store. (Where you can also get it in bronze or silver.)
After photographing the Verdant earrings in black steel the other day with a white t-shirt and bold lip, I couldn’t resist adding one more layer to the outfit – a leather jacket!
I’ll admit that since I released the Essaint collection, I’ve been rocking the various earring styles almost exclusively in silver. Because while steel has my heart from a makers perspective, it doesn’t show up that well against my darker hair. (Which is why I’m jealous of all those women with amazing grey or white hair, because the steel pops beautifully against it. Same goes for blondes.)
But the other day, I tossed on a white t-shirt, pulled my hair half back, threw on a red lip, and suddenly I am OBSESSED with the Verdant statement earrings in black steel.
I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve shown my face here on the blog, which is funny, because at one point I was wondering if there’s such a thing as a selfie blogger.
But all the new earrings I’ve been designing have me taking lots more pictures of myself again, so I thought I’d share this one, pop in for a hello, and also a friendly reminder that these new statement earrings are now available in my online store!
